Project Details

The project involved roof repairs, mold removal and containment, exterior and interior repairs, mechanical repairs, and electrical repairs, all with special attention to water infiltration remediation, in order to provide a safe work environment until permanent repairs were provided. Public facilities included police stations, hospitals, and other government buildings that suffered mild to severe damages from the impact of Hurricane Maria in September, 2017.

The project required multiple construction crews to be deployed simultaneously throughout the entire island in efforts to restore critical public facilities to operational capability after the Island suffered immense infrastructure, road and communication damages. While these circumstances proved to be a logistics challenge, MFS successfully delivered the tasks requested by USACE in a timely manner.
