Project Overview

MFS was contracted by the Oficina de Administración de los Tribunales (OAT) to provide comprehensive general construction services, including labor, material and equipment; to successfully execute civil, electrical and mechanical improvements for the reconstruction of various offices at the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, a historic landmark. The project's objective was to relocate and reconstruct offices in a manner that safeguarded its historic value while integrating modern standards of functionality and compliance.

Project Details

Prior to construction, MFS conducted a thorough survey of the site and its surroundings, carefully documenting all environmental and human factors. This ensured strict compliance with the highest standards of protection and preservation.

The work performed by MFS encompassed removal, demolition, and new construction, including structural floor reinforcement. In addition, the scope of work included, but was not limited to, interior upgrades such as the installation of new wallboards, windows, doors, fix-glass windows and ceramic tiles, fabrication and installation of wooden furniture; implementation of an acoustic system, HVAC system improvements, and electrical system enhancements.

Throughout the project, MFS coordinated closely with OAT staff to minimize disruptions to ongoing operations on site.
