Remodelation of 6th Floor of the HQ Building at Oficina de Gerencia y Presupuesto

Project Overview

MFS was contracted by Autoridad para el Financiamiento de la Infraestructura de Puerto Rico (AFI) to provide general construction services for the interior remodel of the sixth floor at Oficina de Gerencia y Presupuesto (OGP) headquarter building, located in San Juan Historic District.

Project Details

The project aimed to modernize the office space following for extensive water damage. The work included selective demolition of elements affected by water to address the source of leakage, as well as removal and replacement of the acoustical ceiling, floors (ceramic tiles and rug tiles), windows and doors, space redistribution with new gypsum board walls, among others tasks. All the work was executed in accordance with technical specifications. Existing HVAC ducts and equipment were removed, and new electrical, HVAC and IT distribution systems were installed.

The interior remodel also involved implementing a new office layout, painting, installation of furniture throughout the space, resulting in a modernized, functional, and aesthetically improved work environment. A new kitchenette and bathroom were integrated in the new design.
