Project Overview

MFS Construction, LLC was contracted by NPS to provide the labor, materials, and equipment to perform the construction services at the Weir Farm National Historical Park located at Wilton, CT.

Project Details

This project consisted of scrapping, priming, and painting the entire exterior of the Weir House clapboard siding and related wood trim, windows, and doors. Repair deteriorated wood on the building and replace any deteriorated window glazing. This project included 40 non-functional double-hung wooden windows, four single wooden windows, three narrow transom windows, two storm doors and one cellar door.

As the general contractor, MFS provided full-time on-site supervision, daily reports, and coordination with the National Park Service and park visitors through the course of work. MFS secured each work area prior to work start to protect and maintain pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

This task order was a result of MFS Construction, LLC being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Alt/Repair Construction Services Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for construction, maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property to support the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA).
