Project Overview

MFS Construction provided Design/Build Construction services to the General Services Administration (GSA) in support of the United States Secret Service New York Field Office Renovations project in Brooklyn, New York.

Project Details

The project site is a multi-use facility with the USSS occupying 3 floors of the building. The project scope included the design and fabrication of an approximately 550 square foot prefabricated Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). In addition to the SCIF, design build services were provided for all support systems including security upgrades, electrical, communications, mechanical, architectural, and demolition. As GSA’s contractor, MFS prepared design documentation up to 100% and was responsible for fabrication, design, installation, safety, and Quality Control/Quality Assurance of all installations. MFS prepared all construction documents at each design submission phase.

During construction, MFS provided full time onsite inspection of work completed. Throughout the project duration, MFS managed all document control including the processing and logging of all RFI’s, submittal, construction reports, deficiency reports, and safety reports. At substantial completion, MFS facilitated the commissioning of all systems and participated in the accreditation process, in addition to compiling a punch list and overseeing its execution.
