Project Overview

MFS provided structural, mechanical and electrical engineering services as well as construction services of a 3 bedroom, 4,400 sqft house in the beachfront of Culebra, Puerto Rico.

Project Details

The project consisted of the footing, electrical system, water system design and building construction. The house was mainly exposed concrete, including the pantry, foyer, bathrooms, and main entrance. The bedrooms and terrace, that face the ocean view, were also exposed concrete, and the roofs were a combination of wood and aluminum.

MFS’ engineering team designed a water storage system that captures rainwater. In addition, because of the driveway slope on the main entrance of the house, MFS designed a custom corrugated concrete driveway that connects with the road. Additionally, MFS was responsible for the construction of the beachfront gazebo.
